Anionic polymer organic flocculant

Polymer flocculants are classified according to chemical composition, product form or other ways, and can be divided into four categories according to the electrical properties of ions carried by the polymer organic flocculants after dissociation: non-ionic, zphoteric ionic, cationic and anionic. The molecular weight of common anionic polymer flocculants is generally between 6 million and 25 million, the pH range of action is 7-14, and it can be dissolved in water and organic solvents.

The ionizable groups of anionic polymer flocculants include carboxyl group, sulfonic acid group and phosphonic acid group. The main varieties are polyacrylamide (PAM), sodium polyacrylate (PAA), sodium polystyrene sulfonate and so on. For example, PAA, with a high molecular weight, can be well dissolved in water, and its own charge can condense suspended particles with different surface charges; It also has active adsorption capacity, because its molecular chain contains a certain number of polar groups, can adsorb suspended particles on the surface of the flocculant, through the adsorption bridging effect or neutralization between charges, so that the suspended particles condensed into a larger volume of floc, thereby accelerating the settlement of ions in the suspension, the solution clarification speed is significantly accelerated, promote filtration and other effects. It has a very obvious purification, settlement promotion and favorable filtration, and can play a better effect when used together with inorganic flocculants.

Anionic polymer flocculant, suitable for suspension with positive charge, and also suitable for sewage treatment under pH value greater than isoelectric point.
